FAQ
How to Start ACTECmax Portable Generators
ACTECmax portable generators are easy to operate and highly portable. Generally, there are three starting methods.
Recoil (Pull) Start
- Pull the starter rope slowly until you feel resistance.
Once you sense a firm resistance, pull the rope outward quickly and firmly. - Avoid pulling the rope all the way at once.
Pulling to the end in a single motion may damage the recoil mechanism or starter rope. - Do not pull repeatedly without pause.
If the engine fails to start, wait a few seconds before trying again to prevent engine flooding

Remote Start
- Ensure the battery is properly connected.
Before starting, make sure the generator is linked to the battery correctly. - Press the ON button on the remote control.
Once the battery is connected, press the remote’s ON button to start the generator. - Wait and observe.
After starting, allow the engine to stabilize before connecting any load. If the generator fails to start, check the battery connection and try again.

Control Panel Start
- Ensure the battery is properly connected.
Make sure the generator is linked to the battery before attempting to start. - Use the control panel to start the generator.
After the battery is connected, press the appropriate start button on the control panel. - Observe engine operation.
Allow the generator to run for a short period without load to ensure stable operation before connecting devices. If the generator does not start, check the battery connection and control panel settings before trying again.
