ACTECmax Automotive AC Clutches – Precision, Reliability, and Global Support for Optimal Performance
ACTECmax automotive AC clutches offered by Anchor Group are designed to deliver precise fit, high reliability, and stable transmission under demanding operating conditions. Engineered to withstand high system pressures and prolonged use, they reduce maintenance frequency and ensure your vehicle’s AC system operates smoothly.
ACTECmax Clutch Assembly
The automotive AC electromagnetic clutch, commonly referred to as the clutch assembly, typically consists of three main components: pulley, coil, and drive plate (armature). It serves as a power transmission device between the vehicle’s engine and the AC compressor, allowing the engine to drive the compressor when engaged. The electromagnetic clutch itself is non-magnetic and only generates a magnetic field when energized.

FAQs
In most cases, AC clutch coil failure is not caused by a product defect. The main reason is excessively high pressure in the AC system, which increases the resistance on the compressor during operation. When this resistance exceeds the electromagnetic force of the clutch coil, relative slippage occurs between the clutch’s drive (armature) and driven (pulley) plates, generating excessive friction and heat, ultimately causing the coil to burn out.
